"Pot Roast".... Veal, Mac & Cheese.

Notes: The pot roast was pretty good - very tender and not chew at all. The veal chop, however, was a *nightmare.* It was RARE. I could not cut it with my butter knife. Rare veal = unedible... unchewable... flavorless. Boo!

The "mac & cheese" however, was outstanding. The pasta had been perfectly cooked and enrobed with a creamy cheese sauce laced with pungent white truffle oil.

Underneath the meat, there is also some nicely done haricot verts - probably the best thing on the plate. Simple, crisp, yet cooked.

Tried a new meal today - Mediterranean Brisket. Except without the brisket. I couldn't find one at the Leshi Market tonight. Nor a pot roast, which is an alternative the recipe recommended. So I tried a flank steak having no idea if this would work.

The recipe first called for sauteing in olive oil some sliced onions, mushrooms, garlic, basil, and thyme...
